St. Nicholas
The enduring and whimsical Santa Claus legend derives from the life and history of the charitable Saint Nicholas, Bishop of Myra, Turkey (sometimes known as Sinterklass). Born in 270 A.D., he was the patron saint of children and sailors. This benevolent gift-giving figure appears, under various guises, in the Netherlands, Belgium, and other northern European countries... including often as a toy-maker. In the United Kingdom, Santa Claus is known as Father Christmas; similarly, Père Noël in France.
Santa Joseph
This SAG actor and comedy improviser, born to interpret Kris Kringle portrayals, most often dons burgundy red attire. The beloved character appears in residences, markets, photography studios and broadcasts around the localities of Bel Air, Beverly Hills, Malibu, Santa Monica, Venice, and DTLA. ...Among other sightings in Southern California, the North Pole, and, magically, elsewhere.
